Born in Moscow, she began studying piano at the age of five with Ada Traub at the Gnesin Special School of Music, where she graduated with a gold medal in 1983. In 1987 she won the Busoni prize in Bolzano. She then began an intense international concert activity performing with outstanding success worldwide. In 1998 she was awarded the International “Accademia Musicale Chigiana” prize in Siena. She has performed with many of the most important conductors and leading orchestras.
Since 2009 to 2013 she has taught at the Hamburg Musikhochschule and holding courses at the Royal Academy of London, the Weimar Musikhochschule, the Fort Worth Piano Academy and various Universities in South Korea, Taiwan and the United States. Since October 2015 she holds the Piano Course at the Universität der Künste Wien.
In Italy she has held summer courses in Treviso at the Ca’ Zenobio (2006, 2007, 2008), in Bolzano and in Trent.
She has been teaching at the Accademia Chigiana since 2011.
