1977 First prize winner of the “Casagrande Contest” dedicated to Schubert, he began at that time an international career leading him to perform concerts throughout the world both as soloist and in ensembles as well as in the role of orchestra conductor. To his many concert performances – he also loves playing period instruments – he has also added over the years an intense teaching activity, holding master classes in Europe, the United States and Australia. He also works together regularly with the Accademia Pianistica of Imola and the Hochschule für Musik of Cologne.
